The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program to assist low income households with access to christmas gifts for children usually starts accepting applications in October. You will have to contact either your local corp or the divisional headquarters in your state and request information on how to apply. See link below: and try contacting the area command listed. They should also be able to direct you as to how to apply for a voucher to use at the thrift stores.
